This FACEBOOK exchange took place a few moments ago. Please be aware that an IMPOSTER of Dan Getz at best and a HACKER at worst is sending out emails indicating they are Dan Getz on behalf of Dance4One, and are in need of a significant amount of funds to be wired to "him" directly.
"This is absolutely false," Getz has empathetically stated. "Someone is obviously using my name and website to appeal to the emotions of people who know me. There is NO sad news. In fact, I have GREAT NEWS. Tomorrow at Thanksgiving Square, at Ervay Street and Pacific in downtown Dallas, TX I and three other fantastic vocalists will be performing LIVE between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. as 'AWESOME PRAISE'. In fact, we are trying now to schedule this event EVERY Thursday thereafter for the next couple weeks, and maybe even the next couple of months where local vocalists, dancers, artists and musicians will be featured in the AWESOME PRAISE BAND & CHIOR."
The exchange on FACEBOOK between Sharon Roni Ellis, the friend who received one of these emails and alerted Dan Getz of this, and Dan Getz was as follows:

DAN! Dan Getz something has your emalis & is scamming your mail list. I just received an email supposedly from you, the subject line said "SAD NEW - DAN GETZ" OR "SAD STORY- DAN GETZ". opening it says "I have made an unexpected trip to United Kingdom and been mugged and had all my money stolen. Please send $1,800.00 by wire to this bank account immediately. I will pay you back as soon as I return home. Dan Getz." Then an address of a bank. It has your dance -4 one address, and your dan getz address and your blog site address as the sender. Something has picked up your blog site's "sad & needy stories" and is scamming your email list.

Dan Getz WARNING TO ALL MY FACEBOOK AND YAHOO FRIENDS...I believe the above perpetrator that Sharon Roni Ellis has mentioned above has ALSO hacked into my YAHOO EMAIL ACCOUNT (dance4one11@yahoo.com) because YAHOO made me reset my password, but then once it was reset, I got a message that indicated I HAD to contact YAHOO directly because my password could NOT be reset. DO NOT OPEN THIS EMAIL as it MAY very LIKELY have a VIRUS attached to it. As Getz indicated, Dance4One will be joining AWESOME PRAISE BAND AND CHIOR by Dance4One and Shared Vision tomorrow, August 23, 2012 between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at Thanksgiving Square in Dallas, TX. The three vocalists joining "DANgerous", aka Dan Getz will be Deborah Morgan, "Tea" and "Anita" and "are each in a class of their own" Mr. Getz said. "I just want the public to know to PLEASE come on your lunch break. Bring your kids. Bring your dog. Bring a picnic lunch and ENJOY a very special event, and very fun time with AWESOME PRAISE! We look forward to sharing an incredible hour with you."
