The article I posted a few days ago (http://www.dance4one.blogspot.com/2012/12/random-chaos-or-master-plan-authored-by.html) where I received a "random" text with a "Word for the Day" that read, LIVE...Live each moment to the fullest, as it might be your last, to hold someone, to kiss someone, to tell someone you love them!" does not only seem to be an eerie and foretelling proclamation, but is so much more significant and worth taking note of in light of the tragic events that began and ended within the first 20 minutes or so of "just another happy day" at Sandy Hook Elementary School in the small town of Newton, Connecticut this past Friday. Various media outlets (including multiple YAHOO posts including http://news.yahoo.com/conn-school-victims-shot-rifle-multiple-times-205207737.html) have covered this sorrowful and tear-jerking event well so I will refrain from re-stating many of the unfolding and still unknown events and facts surrounding this surreal story, here, but wish to convey my deepest sorrow and grief with regard to the fate of these precious, precious little ones.
Stephanie Lanford in her Keepers of the Home Website (http://www.keeperofthehome.org/2008/01/children-are-a-blessing-from-the-lord.html) reminds us of Psalm 127:3-5 which says, "Children are a gift from the Lord: they are a reward from him. Children born to a young man are like sharp arrows in a warrior's hands. How happy is the man whose quiver is full of them! He will not be put to shame when he confronts his accusers at the city gates."
So even though my words or the words of any human being fall far short of saying anything remotely close to filling the tremendous void that has not only shaken these families, but the hearts of millions across the world, the words of the Lord of Hosts are a blessing and reward that ALL of us who choose to BELIEVE can bank on.
So I end today's post with a PROMISE to those BELIEVERS who remain and to ALL God's CHILDREN that have gone on before us: We most assuredly can REST in KNOWING that not only will JUSTICE prevail in the end, but that we shall ONE DAY see, hold, kiss and tell you IN PERSON that we LOVE you once again!
