THIS is WHO i am...

by Dan Getz, International Blogger,

"FOLLOW me on FACEBOOK...Because this is WHO i am...https://t.co/azoxoGnL6b AND http://t.co/rDKWK0cGY1 (Password to VIEW is DAILYBREAD)." was tweeted from @Dance4ONE a few moments ago.

I have been inspired by MANY throughout this JOURNEY called LIFE...Pink, through her song entitled "TRY" was the primary inspiration of TRYING...Dan Getz...the BRAND NEW Vimeo Video Shot, Edited and Produced by The Arrington Group in Dallas, TX [http://t.co/rDKWK0cGY1 (Password to VIEW is DAILYBREAD)].

LIBERY WALK by Miley Cyrus has inspired me many times to step out well beyond the societal "norms"...

Taylor Swift continues to amaze and inspire me through her multiple genres of music (country, hip-hop, rock, etc.) and multi-directional facets of art and creativity (clothing and perfume lines, movies, TV, music, etc.).

My friend Tina, lead singer for Deaf Angel, has inspired me EVERY time I listen to her song entitled "Directions" from their newest album "Brutally Beautiful" (http://www.reverbnation.com/play_now/song_18160355).

But today, Henry David Thorough inspired me to BELIEVE and STEP OUT again through this quote of his..."Go CONFIDENTIALLY in the DIRECTION of your DREAMS. LIVE the LIFE you have IMAGINED."

There are MANY, MANY more people that have lead me to this place of CONFIDENT CONTENTMENT in FINALLY knowing WHO i REALLY am...and I am truly grateful...particularly for the ones...the family members...the fairweather "friends"...the back stabbers... who made my life a LIVING HELL...through your mis-judgements, sarcasm, mockery, and painful rejection of who i am, time and time again...For without you I could not have possibly realized how stuck and hopeless and directionless I had become in my mundane and ridiculously hilarious conformity and co-dependence on what SOCIETY...through YOU... thought was best for me.

But I choose to LOOK FORWARD, and NOT look BACK...and to focus on the TRUE friends who have TAUGHT me to truly LIVE...Thank you and May God richly bless YOU for loving me, and leading me to the LIGHT at the end of a VERY DARK and PAINFUL Tunnel...

Dance4ONE demands JUSTICE...UNJUST Hard-Line Wal-Mart Managers Hold to Corporate Policy DEMANDING Customer Wait 9 Hours for Refund

by Dan Getz, Blogger for
www.Dance4One.blogspot.com
Reporting from Rowlett, TX,
October 7, 2013 at 1:00 pm CST

Until the prophetic "LET" declared in Amos 5:24 COMPLETELY REPLACES the "UNTIL" aptly and intuitively spoken by Martin Luther King, Jr. when he said on August 28, 1963, "Until Justice Rolls Like the Waters...and Righteousness Like the Mighty Stream..." Injustice will REMAIN INDEFINITELY. This is precisely the reason that Wal-Mart continues to struggle through a mryiad of problems and...INJUSTICE.
Take for instance the fact brought to the surface by the Occupy Movement/ through it's 99% vs. the 1% campaign...that the CEO of Wal-Mart (Michael Duke) makes more in ONE hour than the aveage Wal-Mart worker will make in an ENTIRE year...or $16,826.92 per hour, vs. $8.75 per hour (see http://abcnews.go.com/Business/walmart-ceo-pay-hour-workers-year/story?id=11067470).  Liberty and Justice for ALL???  I think NOT.  Give me LIBERTY or Give me DEATH?  Perhaps.

Today, yet again, INJUSTICE "wagged it's ugly head" at a Wal-Mart located in Dallas, TX.(or more precisely, the store located at 3155 W. Wheatland Road, Dallas, TX 75237 which can be contacted at 972-709-1400).  A customer who visited this particular store for the first time this morning, has been a loyal customer of Wal-Mart for several decades, but wished to remain anonymous, stated the following to Dance4ONE:

"At approximately 11:30 pm yesterday evening I made about a $15.00 purchase at the Wal-Mart located between Highway 67 and Interstate 20 on Wheatland.  The only reason I was at this particular Wal-Mart was that in order to arrive at a new job assignment in Cedar Hill at 5:00 a.m. today I had to catch the D.A.R.T. Blue Line and Bus Route 466 prior to midnight the night before and then catch a taxi early the next morning (i.e. today) to travel the remaining distance to my final destination...in other words, I was merely killing some time during an otherwise uneventful...and sleepless evening/early morning.

At approximately 3:00 a.m. when I contacted the taxi service to request a taxi and get a precise amount of what the fare would be, I quickly realized I was going to be about $10 short on the fare, and needed to return about $10 worth of merchandise so that I could pay the cab driver and arrive to my new job assignment on time...which would be 5:00 a.m.

Thinking that a customer should, and would be handled as such...a CUSTOMER, I was shocked when I was told that any return and refund could ONLY be done during ANY Wal-Mart's established Customer Service Hours, which happened to be 7 am to 10 pm at this particular location.  The Manager went on to reiterate, when bluntly asked, that 'Yes, even if a CUSTOMER made a purchase at 10:00 pm and promptly realized at 10:01 pm that he needed to return the merchandise he had just just purchased, he would HAVE to wait NINE HOURS...until 7 am the next morning to make the return and receive his or her refund.'    When I explained my situation in more detail, and that if I was not able to pay the taxi driver and arrive on my first day to my brand new job assignment I would most likely be fired, the Customer Service Manager (I believe her name was Elizabeth) was not only extremely rude and blunt in her tone, attitude and body posture, but was cold and firm in her position that 'It was logistically IMPOSSIBLE to issue a refund outside of this established company-wide policy dictating the ONLY TIMES refunds could be issued, not only at this particular store, but at ANY Wal-Mart store across the country.  When I finally was granted my request to speak to her boss and make the same, logical appeal to her, I was told exactly the same thing, except with more coldness, rudeness AND resolve NOT to serve the Customer...namely ME.

I ultimately got to my destination due to a kind-hearted and symathetic cab driver named 'Charles' with Yellow Cab who allowed me to short pay him for his service.  When I returned to the same Wal-Mart store this morning around 7:48 am (due to a communication issue between the agency I work for and the foreman of the company I was sent to whereby my assignment has been delayed a day) to return the merchandise for my refund (so that I could pay the bus fare for the return to my home), I was told by Customer Service Representative, "Shun" the TRUTH that 'Yes, it was a corporate policy to only issue refunds during the specified and established Customer Service Hours, BUT that exeptions COULD be made, particularly when dealing with situations where a CUSTOMER would be significantly and negatively impacted if an exception to this policy was NOT made.'

Shun went on to say that were no logistical and/or equipment limitations (as both 'Elizabeth' and her boss adamantly stated) that would prevent this transaction from being made outside of the established Customer Service Hours, and that a MANUAL OVER-RIDE was not only possible, but very clearly should have been performed."

Ghana Ministry of Health Unable to Pay it's Nurses for Last FOUR months

by Dan Getz, International Blogger,
aka "The Dance'In Newz Boy,
Reporting from Rowlett, TX

Today, an undentified source, a nurse who currently lives and works in Ghana, stated, "...and for the past four months i have not seen any salary...this makes things much worst for me..."  When asked by Dance4One owner and blogger, Dan Getz, "Why are they not paying you?" the nurse replied, "...that is from the government...things are not good here as compare to that of your place or europe...things here are so different...".

When further questioned, "How do you pay your rent and other obligations??", the unidentified nurse currently employed by the Ghana Ministry of Health stated, "...well i have been having problems with so many things...just trying to keep all this by myself...i am currently having problems with the owner of my apartment and my bills as well..."

This is not a new thing for Ghana.  In 2009, the Health Ministry of Ghana ordered the payment of nurses salaries that were five years in arrears.  Quoting directly from this article (http://www.ghanabusinessnews.com/2009/08/07/health-ministry-orders-payment-of-nurses%E2%80%99-salary-arrears/. ),
"Dr. George Sipa-Adjah Yankey, the Minister of Health, said it was pathetic that some nurses and other health workers had not received their salaries for the past five years."

In a more recent article that confirms and explains the primary reason the Ghana Ministry of Health, or more accurately the HIPC (Heavily Indebted Poor Countries, see http://www.imf.org/external/pubs/ft/scr/2004/cr04209.pdf) fund  is unable to pay it's nurses, and multiple statutory funds (including the Health Fund, District Assemblies' Common Fund, and the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund)), the writer stated today, September 18, 2013, that "Parliament will meet Finance Minister, Seth Terkper and officials from the Controller and Accountant General Department (CAGD) to discuss government's freeze on their HIPC accounts and its failure to make payments into various statutory funds." (see http://politics.myjoyonline.com/pages/news/201309/113364.php, posted TODAY, September 18, 2013 at 3:26 GMT).

Kidd Kraddick...A Return to the HEARTBEAT of America

by Dan Getz, International Blogger
www.Dance4One.blogspot.com

My friend and colleague, Jessica Miller told me recently, "Write from your heart.  Write about what you do every day", after listening to me complain about a particular part of my business not panning out like I thought it would.  The last few days I have done exactly that, and there is a "flow" in my writing like I have never experienced before...at least not for a very, very long time.

It is now being reported that Kidd Kraddick died this past Saturday of a preventable and easily treatable heart disease, rather than the previously reported probable cause of death...a brain aneurism.

I am not here to past judgment or dwell on the fact that the "Kidd" should have done this or that.  Anthony Hopkins, playing a part in a thriller called "The Bear" made this statement about the "should haves" and shames of life when a man that ultimately "died of shame" kept dwelling on his mistakes and making statements like "I should have done this...or that": (paraphrased) "People, in the wilderness ultimately die of shame.  They start dwelling on their mistakes.  They  begin saying things like "I should have done this or that"...and ultimately they fail to do the ONE thing that could have saved them...THINK."

But Kidd Kraddick did NOT die in SHAME.  Did he make a mistake in not getting this checked on sooner? Maybe.  But the KIDD Lived his life in a way that was the polar opposite of shame.  He, at some point in his life, chose to BE and LIVE and RETURN TO the "Heartbeat of America"...an era about 50 or 60 years ago where people actually cared for and looked out for eachother...a time when Presidents like JRK and Civil Rights Activists like Martin Luther King, Jr. Dared to go against the grain, LIVE and go the extra mile or two to aid their fellow man...or woman...even to the point of laying down their own life.

Won't you join me in celebrating the LIFE of people like JRK, Martin Luther King Jr., Kidd Kraddick and countless other RENOWN and UNKNOWN individuals and groups of individuals who have taught US to LIVE through their LIVING, and the laying down of their own lives for US?  Do not let this simply be a fleeting moment decision or whim.  As NIKE has stated over and over through a VERY effective ad campaign...JUST DO IT.

Kidd Kraddick, Dead at Age 53; but Dying...LIVING

by Dan Getz, International Blogger,
www.Dance4One.blogspot.com

Life is Unpredictable with Ups and Downs; Full of daily choices that ultimately determine our journey and destiny.  Such is the Life...and Death of Kidd Kraddick, only 53 years old.  The "Kidd" died, LIVING...doing EXACTLY what he LOVED...Helping others and dealing "cards" of peace, love and friendship to others, including MANY children, that otherwise was not in many's dealt "deck of cards"...

Although final autopsy results have yet to be determined or take place, it is suspected that David "Kidd" Kraddick died suddenly of a brain aneurism Saturday, while playing at a golf charity event that benefited children with special medical needs.

David Kraddick had a knack for DOING and SAYING what he believed to be true, regardless of the naysayers and critics and learned to "hold his ground", not matter the intensity of the opposition.  I think that is why I liked him so much as the same character trait and passion is evident in my own life, as evidenced by this "not so glamorous" article I posted on my blog a number of months ago, when I felt that Kidd Kraddick was not adequately promoting or getting sufficient playtime for my friend Tim Halprin (who advanced through several rounds to American Idol but was ultimately voted off the show): http://dance4one.blogspot.com/2011/11/dance4one-calls-kiss-1061-fms-kidd.html.

I still don't believe, for whatever reason, Tim Halprin was not adequately represented or had his songs played often enough in the Dallas area (Clear Channel Communications owns at least 6 radio stations in the DFW metroplex, including Q102 and KISS 106.1 FM).  But that doesn't mean that I don't STILL hold the highest regard and respect attainable for Mr. David "Kidd" Kraddick.

Kidd, if you are listening...and I believe you are...please KNOW that your LIFE will be sorely missed.  But also KNOW this: YOU inspired ME and countless others through your LIVING and choosing to IMPACT the LIVES of others who otherwise had little hope of anything more than assured death, or a life cut short by an incurable or inoperable medical condition.  You gave US a reason for LIVING, no matter how long we have or had.  You taught us to LIVE, even in the DYING.  You taught us to find the bright side, no matter how dark or ugly the circumstances we were dealt, either by poor personal choices, or unexplainable or unpredictable fate.  May you rest in peace, KNOWING that your legacy will live on forever, and continue to not only impact this generation, but the generations to come.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

DART Spokesman, Lyons Releases NEW Details on Young Man Struck by Train 7 Months Ago...

by Dan Getz, International Blogger,
www.Dance4One.blogspot.com

In an email dated July 25, 2013, Mr. Morgan Lyons stated, "The person hit by the train was approximately 200 yards south of the station when he stepped from behind an overhead powerline pole. Our investigation found he was hidden from the operator's sight until he stepped in front of the train. This areas [sic] is clearly marked as a restricted area/no trespassing location. However, we must still maintain access to the location for our maintenance teams."

This was in response to the following email exchange between Mr. Lyons and Mr. Getz on July 24th and July 25th, 2013, after a request for an interview between DART Media Relations and Dance4One was declined.

Mr. Getz, I'm not available for an interview, but are there specific question [sic]...

Yes,  In light of the attached photos, why is it that DART has not made a greater effort to block access to, or place a more prohibitive boundry/fence to the ladders shown in these photos that provide easy access to ANYONE wishing to climb down those ladders, particular one such as Brogan Guyton who seems to have chosen to do exactly that on January 2, 2013?

Where, precisely did Brogan step in front of the train?  Was it to the north of the platform, and barely around the first curve (to the slight northwest), which he could have only gained access to, after first (and easily) climbing down the ladder shown in these photos?  A DART spokesman named Mark Ball, who apparently spoke to a Dallas Morning News Reporter stated, "The train had just pulled out of the station and was just picking up speed when it struck the man, he said.", which seems to coincide with the above "theory" of the precise location Brogan stood "behind a pole" and then jumped out in front of the train.

I'd also like to know of ANY press releases by DART concerning the incident yesterday that occurred around 6 am concerning the collision of either a DART bus or train (99% certain it was a train) and commuter vehicle in the vicinity of the West End.  I spoke to an eye witness who stated she saw the collision but I could not locate any type of statement, story or press release from any news agencies, including DART.

This is one of at least 4 to 7 stories I carried on the Brogan Guyton incident.  I have received 18,000 hits on my blog (now read in 124+ Nations) since running the original story.  (http://www.dance4one.blogspot.com/2013/01/young-man-struck-by-dart-trainnow.html)

Thank you Mr. Morgan Lyons for responding to my inquiry.  I plan on running a story on my theory within the next 24 hours and will be glad to offer you the opportunity to comment on it prior to publication.

Mr. Lyons, do you or DART Management seriously think the threat of a criminal trespass arrest is going to deter a suicidal person?  It is my opinion, and I believe will be the opinion of the vast majority of the 38,000 individuals reading my blog in 124 nations, that a 6 to 8 ft high gate the width of that ladder would have at least deterred and possibly caused enough attention when Mr. Brogan Guyton stepped down from the platform to go around that obstacle.

It's hard to fathom, even when no injuries are reported, that the T-boning of a DART train car by a motorist that was reportedly drunk, is not news-worthy.

I do appreciate your reply and statement of the facts.

Thank you and have a nice day,

A Second Chance for Tommy and I

By Daniel Getz, International Blogger,

This morning I happened to hear a news reporter state the following: “I once attended a funeral for a two year old.  Sometimes in life there are certain things that impact us forever.  This was one of those times.”

Such is the case of the suicide of my 20 year old friend, Brogan Guyton, who was tragically killed at the beginning of this year by throwing himself in front of one of the DART trains after contemplating it for about 4 hours prior to his final decision.

I had seen what I know now to be signs of his impending death about 3 weeks earlier when I spotted him in the West End very disheveled and obviously distraught; a sharp contrast to the energetic and optimistic young man I had casually met a month or so earlier.

When I learned of his death in the Dallas Morning News, I swore to myself at that time that I would NEVER let that happen again…at least not on MY “watch”.

So this morning when I met another young man while having breakfast that is 18 and was visibly “upbeat” despite residing in a shelter and having no job, though reasonably discouraged, I quickly realized this was a second chance for me to make a difference in a young man’s life.

What I have is nothing special.  But I do know people that know people that can mentor and help this man embrace his manhood and become a productive contributor to society.  So I am meeting him (we’ll call him “Tommy”) again tomorrow morning over coffee and we'll go from there.

I’d like to challenge you to do the same as I.  You don’t have to look very hard to spot a “Tommy” on the streets of Dallas, TX.  Use discernment because all homeless people are not as they say, and do not have the character and upbringing of “Tommy”.  However, there are many, many “Tommy’s” who are the “real deal” and desperately need someone to stop and take the time to give them a second chance.  Please try not to be blinded by the stereotypes and prejudice that is all around us.  As the “Great Gatsby” learned to do, choose to, at times, to look through “rose colored glasses.”  Perhaps you will be surprised, as I once was, to see more clearly than you have ever seen before.

Those who do not LEARN from Their PAST, are DOOMED to REPEAT it...Those Who Make PEACEFUL REVOLUTION Impossible WILL Make VIOLENT REVOLUTION Inevitable...

by Dan Getz, International Blogger
www.Dance4One.blogspot.com

We MUST remember the WORDS and ACTIONS of Men like John F.. Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Jr. in order to LIVE and Dream AGAIN...The TIME is NOW to Shake ourselves from our slumber and AWAKE...If WE, as AMERICANS do not make a serious course correction, we are doomed to repeat the ugly parts of our past. However, if we will grab ahold of the TRUTH of OUR DESTINY and PURPOSE and the principles and integrity that OUR NATION was founded upon, we will not only save ourselves, but will LEAD the NATIONS towards the Bright FUTURE of TOMORROW...

http://t.co/rr1QjyFhJs. Words of TRUTH for TODAY: "Ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country!" JFK, January 20, 1961.

"Ask Not What Your Country Can Do For You"
John F. Kennedy's Inaugural Address, January 20, 1961

We observe today not a victory of party, but a celebration of freedom — symbolizing an end, as well as a beginning — signifying renewal, as well as change
. For I have sworn before you and Almighty God the same solemn oath our forebears prescribed nearly a century and three quarters ago.

The world is very different now. For man holds in his mortal hands the power to abolish all forms of human poverty and all forms of human life. And yet the same revolutionary beliefs for which our forebears fought are still at issue around the globe — the belief that the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state, but from the hand of God.

We dare not forget today that we are the heirs of that first revolution. Let the word go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans — born in this century, tempered by war, disciplined by a hard and bitter peace, proud of our ancient heritage — and unwilling to witness or permit the slow undoing of those human rights to which this Nation has always been committed, and to which we are committed today at home and around the world.

Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty.

This much we pledge — and more.

To those old allies whose cultural and spiritual origins we share, we pledge the loyalty of faithful friends. United, there is little we cannot do in a host of cooperative ventures. Divided, there is little we can do — for we dare not meet a powerful challenge at odds and split asunder.

To those new States whom we welcome to the ranks of the free, we pledge our word that one form of colonial control shall not have passed away merely to be replaced by a far more iron tyranny. We shall not always expect to find them supporting our view. But we shall always hope to find them strongly supporting their own freedom — and to remember that, in the past, those who foolishly sought power by riding the back of the tiger ended up inside.

To those peoples in the huts and villages across the globe struggling to break the bonds of mass misery, we pledge our best efforts to help them help themselves, for whatever period is required — not because the Communists may be doing it, not because we seek their votes, but because it is right. If a free society cannot help the many who are poor, it cannot save the few who are rich.

To our sister republics south of our border, we offer a special pledge — to convert our good words into good deeds — in a new alliance for progress — to assist free men and free governments in casting off the chains of poverty. But this peaceful revolution of hope cannot become the prey of hostile powers. Let all our neighbours know that we shall join with them to oppose aggression or subversion anywhere in the Americas. And let every other power know that this Hemisphere intends to remain the master of its own house.

To that world assembly of sovereign states, the United Nations, our last best hope in an age where the instruments of war have far outpaced the instruments of peace, we renew our pledge of support — to prevent it from becoming merely a forum for invective — to strengthen its shield of the new and the weak — and to enlarge the area in which its writ may run.

Finally, to those nations who would make themselves our adversary, we offer not a pledge but a request: that both sides begin anew the quest for peace, before the dark powers of destruction unleashed by science engulf all humanity in planned or accidental self-destruction.

We dare not tempt them with weakness. For only when our arms are sufficient beyond doubt can we be certain beyond doubt that they will never be employed.

But neither can two great and powerful groups of nations take comfort from our present course — both sides overburdened by the cost of modern weapons, both rightly alarmed by the steady spread of the deadly atom, yet both racing to alter that uncertain balance of terror that stays the hand of mankind's final war.

So let us begin anew — remembering on both sides that civility is not a sign of weakness, and sincerity is always subject to proof. Let us never negotiate out of fear. But let us never fear to negotiate.

Let both sides explore what problems unite us instead of belabouring those problems which divide us.

Let both sides, for the first time, formulate serious and precise proposals for the inspection and control of arms — and bring the absolute power to destroy other nations under the absolute control of all nations.

Let both sides seek to invoke the wonders of science instead of its terrors. Together let us explore the stars, conquer the deserts, eradicate disease, tap the ocean depths, and encourage the arts and commerce.

Let both sides unite to heed in all corners of the earth the command of Isaiah — to "undo the heavy burdens -. and to let the oppressed go free."

And if a beachhead of cooperation may push back the jungle of suspicion, let both sides join in creating a new endeavour, not a new balance of power, but a new world of law, where the strong are just and the weak secure and the peace preserved.

All this will not be finished in the first 100 days. Nor will it be finished in the first 1,000 days, nor in the life of this Administration, nor even perhaps in our lifetime on this planet. But let us begin.

In your hands, my fellow citizens, more than in mine, will rest the final success or failure of our course. Since this country was founded, each generation of Americans has been summoned to give testimony to its national loyalty. The graves of young Americans who answered the call to service surround the globe.

Now the trumpet summons us again — not as a call to bear arms, though arms we need; not as a call to battle, though embattled we are — but a call to bear the burden of a long twilight struggle, year in and year out, "rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation" — a struggle against the common enemies of man: tyranny, poverty, disease, and war itself.

Can we forge against these enemies a grand and global alliance, North and South, East and West, that can assure a more fruitful life for all mankind? Will you join in that historic effort?

In the long history of the world, only a few generations have been granted the role of defending freedom in its hour of maximum danger. I do not shank from this responsibility — I welcome it. I do not believe that any of us would exchange places with any other people or any other generation. The energy, the faith, the devotion which we bring to this endeavour will light our country and all who serve it — and the glow from that fire can truly light the world.

And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you — ask what you can do for your country.

My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man.

Finally, whether you are citizens of America or citizens of the world, ask of us the same high standards of strength and sacrifice which we ask of you. With a good conscience our only sure reward, with history the final judge of our deeds, let us go forth to lead the land we love, asking His blessing and His help, but knowing that here on earth God's work must truly be our own.

Dallas Police, Crowd TIGHT LIPPED about Incident in West End

by Dan Getz, International Blogger

Dallas, TX

Today at about 5:15 pm there were two Dallas Police Cars (Units 2924 and 2962) parked on the sidewalk in front of the McDonalds in the West End.  Inside one of the DPD vehciles sat a dark complected African American man, estimated to be in his 30's or 40's.

When I introduced myself as a journalist/blogger interested in finding out the facts of what had just occurred to two different officers (with at least 2 other officers present and one officer being at the site of the incident at Lamar and Pacific and the other officer being across the street at Lamar and Elm) I was told that they could not comment on what had just occurred (and before I stepped off the Northbound Red Line at the West End Station).

In addition, when I asked at least 10 to 12 other individuals that were present at the scene, or within site of the scene, I received the following responses:

"I just got here, so I don't know." "Why are you asking me about this?" "I just mind my own business and didn't see anything."  "I don't know.  What happened?"

More details, as they (or IF they) become available, will be posted on this blog (www.Dance4One.blogspot.com).

Thank YOU Taylor Swift, Munford & Sons and Phillip Phillips for bringing Country & Western to the FOREFRONT of TODAY's Pop Music Culture...but we want MORE...

by Dan Getz, International Blogger

There is something refreshing about the simplicity, clarity and TRUTH spoken through the lyrics and melody of a really good Country and Western Song, isn't there?  Unfortunately in today's culture and times, many a talented Counrty and Western singer or band never sees "the light of day" on the mainstream "Pop" and "Rock 'n Roll" stations.

But very recently artists like Phillip Phillips with his "Home", Munford and Sons with their "I Can't Wait" and Taylor Swift's MANY Country Songs (with the MOST NOTABLE one Topping Country AND Pop/Rock n' Roll Charts Nationwide being "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together") began to change that.

I will be honest.  Historically speaking I have not typically been a Country and Western music fan or listener.  In the past, the ongoing joke about most Country and Western Songs was that while every song spoke of a shotgun, pick up truck and jilted and/or current lover, the only differences between the various songs was the artist, the order of content (i.e. Did the mention of a shotgun, pick up truck and jilted and/or current lover come first, in the middle of the song or last?) and the "twang" or beat.

But when I first heard the lyrics of Phillip Phillip's HOME (See Below), and heard the melody and rythm of what sounded to me like a brand new genre of music and art, and which has now received over 15 million hits on YouTube, thanks in part to Phillips' debut on American Idol ((http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HoRkntoHkIE), I sensed the "tde of change" had "ebbed and flowed" to a moment in history of epic proportions.  Soon after, Munford and Sons' "I Will Wait" song began to TOP both Country & Western AND Pop/Rock n' Roll Hits Charts nationwide AND all the while, unbeknownst to most non-country and western listeners and fans, Taylor Swift was not only topping Pop and Rock 'n Roll Charts with her "Trouble", "22" and "We are Never Ever Getting Back Together" Songs, but was ALSO fastly becoming an accomplished Country and Western Artist with MANY of her songs simultaneously topping the Country and Western Music Charts.

Swift, in paticular, is not only a true artist in EVERY sense of the word, but clearly knows a thing or two about marketing her talent and wares through the likes of her Taylor Swift Fragance and Jewelry Companies and OnLine Stores (see http://taylorswift.com/ and http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&frm=1&source=web&cd=13&sqi=2&ved=0CLIBEBYwDA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hollywoodreporter.com%2Ffash-track%2Ftaylor-swift-wonderstruck-enchanted-conor-kennedy-363705&ei=ahRDUbb9Acer2QWGsYGgDg&usg=AFQjCNE5U5-AzfBtji56flWvMFi_P6hF1g&sig2=fCEGwCkSpDSmnoggaLBfQw&bvm=bv.43828540,d.b2I).  Taylor Swift has also successfully produced several versions of her "We are Never Ever Getting Back Together" song on You Tube that appeal to BOTH her Country and Western AND Pop/Rock 'n Roll Fans.  I was truly amazed at how even the lyrics, sound and beat sounded completely different (and MUCH better) in the Country and Western version (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WA4iX5D9Z64) than the POP/Rock n' Roll version (http://www.vh1.com/video/misc/853580/we-are-never-ever-getting-back-together-vh1-storytellers.jhtmlversion) I had heard multiple times on stations like KISS 106.1 FM in Dallas, TX.

But, as stated in the title of this article, there should be MORE attention and playtime given to the other Country and Western songs of not only these artists, but other talented musicians, bands and albums as well (for example Tim Halperin who, like Phillip Phillps, also was also very successful and made it through several rounds on American Idol...See http://dance4one.blogspot.com/2011/10/tim-halperinpicture-of-true-success-at.html for Dance4One's Review of Tim Halperin at the Plano Feastiful in Plano, TX and two of my favorite hits on his Rise and Fall Album...I Wanna Fall in Love, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1U6Xf6Pux-Y AND New York, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fEC3K0G1oug).

And perhaps some day SOON, Taylor, you can help my FRIEND, Tim get MUCH closer to YOU (Taylor Swift) than simply a life-size cardboard image of YOURSELF (Taylor Swift), as seen in this hilariouis promo video advertised on Tim Halprin's official site:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wm7SvhCUsPI&feature=player_embedded as I KNOW you know how to "get her done" :-)

"HOME" by Phillip Phillip's Song Lyrics

As we roll down this unfamiliar road
And although this wave is stringing us along
Just know you’re not alone
Cause I’m going to make this place your home

Settle down, it'll all be clear
Don't pay no mind to the demons
They fill you with fear
The trouble it might drag you down
If you get lost, you can always be found

Just know you’re not alone
Cause I’m going to make this place your home

Settle down, it'll all be clear
Don't pay no mind to the demons
They fill you with fear
The trouble it might drag you down
If you get lost, you can always be found

Just know you’re not alone
Cause I’m going to make this place your home

Ask NOT what your country can do for you - Ask what YOU can DO for YOUR Country...Words of TRUTH then...AND NOW, 52 Years Later...

by Dan Getz, International Blogger
www.Dance4One.blogspot.com
