It is not often that a company impresses me so much, I not only want to come back and try their services or product a SECOND TIME, but that I have so many good things to say, I cannot write about all of these things in just ONE article…
On May 10, 2011 I posted an article on my blog entitled “Double Dave’s Pizza Works and Mei Mei’s Chinese Buffet…are STILL among the FEW GOOD MEN…and WOMEN.” Today (May 15, 2011) I am back AGAIN, and writing this blog from Double Dave’s Pizza Works which is located at 5005 South Cooper Street, Ste. 171, Arlington, TX 76017.
I want to first of all thank the young lady that has taken my order the last two times for her kindness, consideration, helpfulness and overall EXCELLENT customer service skills. I am particular grateful of the way she interacted and assisted my special needs friend, John last Sunday and treated him with the kindness, gentleness and respect he and ANY human being deserves, and should EXPECT.
Secondly I want to thank Coca-Cola and the manager on duty both last Sunday and today for fixing the Coca-Cola machine and re-stocking my favorite beverage, Dr. Pepper. Coca-Cola, I commend you for your ingenuity and willingness to create a machine that not only serves YOUR products, but the products of your competitors (not quite sure WHY you selected Dr. Pepper over Mr. Pibb, but I, for one, am glad you did). Coca-Cola, although I was amazed at the ingenuity of the Coca-Cola Free-Style machine, and quite honestly quite pleased with this NEW machine, “word on the street” is that not only is everyone NOT thrilled with this machine due to FREQUENT break-downs and maintenance, lack of “user-friendliness” (i.e. the machine seems to have been SO over-simplified, the menu selection has become quite complex and confusing to SOME of the end-users), and frequently unavailable products (although the array of what COULD be available is pleasantly overwhelming)…BUT the machine at THIS location COULD be replaced VERY soon with a simpler, easier and virtually maintenance-free machine with a proven track record.
Finally, I want to hi-light the following…Dave’s FAV (which is MY favorite TOO, and is a VERY delicious HUGE SLICE OF BIG ITALIAN SAUSAGES pizza)…Wild Wooly Wednesday (Beer Drinkers you will DEFINITELY have to check this out)…the “We Believe in Texas” sign immediately under the “License Plate Texas”, the “RESTROOMZ” sign, the absolutely delightful salad bar which is TRULY an array of multiple offerings for not only the “pallet-conscious” but healthy-conscious individual, and what happens when you think to be thoughtful and THANK (monetarily speaking) the staff of Double Dave’s Pizza Works for a job WELL DONE (you’ll just have to find out WHAT this is and experience this YOURSELF my friend)…and WOW, even though your restaurant was not at capacity today, there were DEFINITELY more people (including MOTHERS) here than last Sunday when you offered a 100% FREE BUFFET, ALL DAY for ALL Mothers, it being MOTHER’S DAY and all…
